Jay's Quinoa Steamed Veggies Recipe Vegan Gluten Free

This is more of an idea than a recipe.

Steam your veggies of choice until they have reached your desired softness keeping the steamed run off water in the pot below to use for cooking the quinoa.

Quinoa needs to be thropology rinsed. I don't measure my quinoa I just dump a drop in a couple handfuls, it usually swells up to about twice the size. Some people cook their quinoa until it's a soft mush like oatmeal and if that's the case for your cooking method it will swell up greater than twice the size, I prefer to take it out the boiling water once the outer shells have released from the inner seed and look like this:

Strain water, put quinoa on a plate, then add oils or salad dressing, add the steamed veggies on top. 
For this plate that is pictured I've added a low sodium soy sauce with some montreal steak spice!
