I have always found it interesting how artist will create a work and then years later critics and art historians are trying to figure out the meaning. In my particular style, method and practice there generally is NO meaning behind anything I have made, not initially anyways. The process is that I start with a pencil and I draw one line on the paper, somewhere, usually in the center. From that one line everything else seems to expand on its own by adding more lines. Nothing is pre-planned and so it is almost like a download of consciousness streaming through me and exiting out through the pencil.
